About Andrew Burchell

I am currently the Director of Finance for Ascension St. Vincent in Evansville, IN. My primary responsibilities are to analyze financial statements and give informed decisions to the leaders in order to maximize efficiency and productivity. I also have the privilege of developing the budgets for numerous departments across the organization and holding them to the budget. In my time, I have been able to analyze the variances and make an informed observation of why any variances occurred from the budget. I was formerly an Assistant Fiscal Manager at SWIRCA & More, in Evansville, IN. My primary responsibilities were to maintain the financial records for SWIRCA & More. I also assist the finance department in claim preparations so that we are able to draw funds from the numerous grants that fund our operations. At SWIRCA & More, our primary objective is to enhance opportunities for independent living for the elderly and disabled in our community. My prior work experience was as a Manager at Pilot Flying J, LLC. where I was a Co-Manager for one of the leading stores in the organization. In this role, I assisted the General Manager in the day-to-day activities of managing a store with sales over $1M while maintaining the budget and exemplary customer service. I was responsible for analyzing all aspects of our store financials and comparing them to budget. Throughout my work experience, some of my major responsibilities and expertise include financial analysis, decision support, business planning, financial reporting, data analysis, process development, data validation, and financial forecasting. I currently hold a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with a focus on financial management and a Minor in Finance, and I am CPA eligible.
