About Andrew Carruthers

I’m the Managing Director at the Centre for Men’s Health, a leading private medical clinic specialising in men’s health issues such as Testosterone Deficiency Syndrome (Low T), erectile dysfunction (ED)/impotence, and prostate health concerns. Our team of expert doctors—specialising in andrology and men’s general and sexual health—has helped thousands of men regain their vitality, confidence, and quality of life over the last 30+ years. With clinics in London and Manchester, we are dedicated to providing personalised, best-practice care. The clinic was founded in 1995 by my late father, Professor Malcolm Carruthers, to offer improved access to treatment for men—particularly those struggling to receive adequate care for testosterone deficiency through the NHS. I joined in 2012 to support his retirement transition, bringing experience from previous roles in law (as a solicitor), media regulation and policy. What began as a short-term project has evolved into a 12+ year (so far!) journey into the world of men’s health. As I learned more about the clinic’s work and spoke with patients, I developed a deep interest in the conditions we treat—especially testosterone deficiency—and the difference our care can make in men's lives. I also discovered an interest in the challenges of running a small business, from marketing and SEO to team-building and clinical service development. My legal background has been invaluable in navigating regulatory requirements, including those of the Care Quality Commission. My focus has been to build on my father’s pioneering legacy by developing an expert clinical team and ensuring we continue to provide outstanding care. Today, we have four dedicated doctors working across our London and Manchester clinics. We take a holistic approach to treatment and actively partner with complementary health organisations to support our patients and their partners more broadly. I’m always interested in connecting with others working in men’s health, healthcare innovation, or small business development.
