My primary focus is the preparation for transition of ownership of privately-held businesses in the lower mid-market (11-200 staff), predominantly in B2B industries such as recruitment/staffing/labour hire, wholesale, distribution, logistics, health & allied care, NDIS and marketing & communications. Less than one quarter of privately-held businesses that actively seek a transition of ownership succeed in finding a buyer, and of those many fail to realise the financial outcome they were initially looking for. This is a significant issue for the 1.6 million business owners aged over 55, the vast majority of whom will be looking to retire in the next 5-10 years. After 20 years in front line M&A transactions and seeing firsthand what differentiated the most saleable and valuable businesses, I established Cassin Advisory to solve the fundamental issue preventing successful exits: a lack of thorough preparation. Cassin Advisory's flagship program, Exit Blueprint, is a 12 month process of defining an exit strategy and guiding the business owner towards achieving a saleable, appealing and higher value enterprise. On a more personal note, I am a self-confessed golf tragic and love doing business on the course! I always enjoy interacting with like-minded people who also like to nerd out about our favourite sport.
