About Andrew Couchon

Find a way or make one. If there's anything that training with Olympic Gold Medalists and World Record Holders has taught me, it's that anything can be accomplished if I work hard enough. I always thought I knew how to work hard, not just balancing school, swim practice, and helping to raise three kids whose mother died in a car accident, but excelling in each of the aforementioned fields. However, once I made the transition to college, I was simply outclassed by the work ethic that surrounded me. Finding myself in lanes next to veritable superstars such as Lilly King and Townley Haas, and subsequently experiencing just how hard they work on every little detail they can, has served to elevate my work ethic to an even higher level. These athletes have no easy path to the goals they want to attain, and so they blaze their own trail. Following their lead, I've internalized the mantra that, no matter the task at hand, if I can't find a way to accomplish it, I'll simply make my own. As I'm currently a student at the renowned Moody School of Communication, and formerly studied at the Kelley School of Business, I have plans to match the pedigree of those institutions. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, I'm planning on either entering the work force as a Brand Management and Corporate Innovation guru, or heading to graduate school to attain a law degree. If I decide upon the latter, I plan on either practicing wrongful death/personal injury law, or putting my degrees to use in the field of public service, by foraying into politics and running for congress. These may sound like tall goals, however, I've resolved to accomplish any task, even if I can't find a way it's been done before and have to cut my own path.
