About Andrew Craig

I have extensive experience in systems engineering, design and the application of technology to various transportation projects. These projects have included various Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and toll collection systems (both in Australia and internationally) and the associated electrical power distribution designs for those systems. I have acquired a broad range of systems design and integration experience having integrated numerous subsystems, including vehicle detection and classification systems, CCTV, video enforcement systems including Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), ETC reader systems (including ETC to AS4962), manual and automatic cash collection systems, message signs, traffic control gates, roadside controllers and communication networks. My style is very practical and I enjoy working on projects that involve manufacturing and site work. This includes the provision of design support to the construction team to facilitate the implementation of the design as well as the installation and commissioning of these systems. I have worked in challenging environments and with different cultures, having worked with international clients and onsite at overseas installations in both developing and developed countries. As a project manager I have been responsible for: the delivery of projects to tight time lines and budget; liaison with client and consulting engineers; design reviews; hardware procurement; liaison with drafting, production, software engineers and sub-contractors; liaison with installation team and other contractors working at the same site; and monthly reports to management for estimate at completion reports.
