Background

About Andrew Cripps

Andrew Cripps is the Director of Front Row Advisory Services. As a former Queensland State Government Minister for Natural Resources and Mines, Andrew has a strong public profile as an advocate for regional and rural communities, the agriculture and mining industries and practical natural resource management issues. He has extensive experience in public policy development, legislative and regulatory application and community and stakeholder engagement. Andrew was responsible for implementing significant reforms in the areas of vegetation management, state leasehold land management, water resources allocation, the management and allocation of mineral and energy resources and making indigenous land available for freehold home ownership. More broadly, Andrew also led wholesale change management initiatives within the Queensland Department of Natural Resources and Mines, including developing a new strategic plan for the department, focusing on service delivery and the development of a 30 year strategic plan for the Queensland resources rector, across the full mining industry supply chain. During his 11 years as a Member of the Queensland Parliament, Andrew was also the Shadow Minister for a number of portfolio areas, including Natural Resources, Mines, State Development and Agriculture. Andrew has extensive experience working closely with local councils and community organisations to deliver local projects. He has also worked with business and industry groups to deliver stakeholder advocacy, public issue awareness campaigns and communications associated with economic development opportunities.
