About Andrew Darroch

I am a Senior Architectural Technologist with over 20 years extensive experience working on a wide range of construction projects. Currently working in Glasgow within the project delivery team at ICA, i pride myself on my own personal standards of performance and expertise whilst meeting the demands of a highly competitive and evolving construction industry. Having worked in the industry for some time now i have become accustomed to meeting tight deadlines and completing complex tasks, either working independently or managing as part of a team. I believe that both communication and expertise are essential in fully understanding the design process and integration between the disciplines, coupled together with a sound knowledge base and awareness of the processes involved during the design development stages, through to construction. In my most recent roles as a key member of the design team whilst acting as principle lead consultant on contractor design and build projects my responsibilities cover a full range of technical services that includes leading the consultant team to ensure full coordination, interrogation and final integration of all design disciplines in conjunction with the management, preparation/execution of fully coordinated architectural work-packages and code compliance. I am actively involved in all aspects of the pre and post construction design stages, providing lead technical support to the clients representatives and project management team. I am constantly developing my knowledge and awareness of industry performance standards including my own personal levels of professional development whilst fully recognizing the needs of clients and the practice.
