As an aspiring Cybersecurity Engineer preparing to take the CompTIA Security+ certification in the next six weeks, I’m eager to bring my technical acumen, self-starting attitude, and real-world experience in system administration and network defense to your organization. While I am early in my cybersecurity career, I have been diligently building a strong foundation through both hands-on projects and relevant coursework—and I’m ready to contribute immediately to your security team. I bring with me a strong understanding of core security principles including network security, threat detection, and vulnerability management. My hands-on training has included creating and hardening virtual lab environments, simulating attacks and defenses, and configuring firewalls and IDS tools like Snort and Wireshark. I’ve also applied security best practices in IT support roles, enforcing least privilege policies, patching systems, and helping end users avoid phishing attempts. What I lack in years of experience, I make up for in drive, adaptability, and a strong ethical foundation. I am committed to continuous learning, and my current pursuit of Security+ certification reflects my readiness to move from general IT into a dedicated cybersecurity role. I’m particularly excited to grow within a collaborative, mission-driven team where I can actively protect systems and users while sharpening my blue team skills.
