About Andrew Elloway

A knowledgeable Engineer with wide ranging experience in civil and structural engineering including project management and site supervision. Now Managing Director at Stirling Maynard with over 24 years experience, I lead up Stirling Maynard's diverse team of engineers in the design and management of a wide range of projects across multiple construction industry sectors. Founded in 1927, Stirling Maynard are an established independent Construction Consultancy which provides full professional services to advise, plan, design, project manage and supervise all types of construction and development projects. Background and Experience: After an early education in engineering I had a short but successful career in retail management in South Wales before moving to Lincolnshire to take a job as a line leader in food manufacturing industry in the mid 90's. In 2001 I returned to engineering, working for a small private structural engineering practice in Cambridgeshire, before joining Stirling Maynard in 2008. With a distinction level Masters Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering gained from Coventry University, I became an Associate Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers in 2008 and a Member of the Institution in 2018. In 2017 I accepted a position as Director at Stirling Maynard. Leading Stirling Maynard’s technical framework and management team my experience is varied having worked on numerous developments in the housing, education, commercial, bridgeworks and industrial sectors, with much of my more recent work being in the food and energy industry sectors. I have a background in structural investigations dealing with historical and modern structures and am a member of the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors, regularly carrying out Party Wall Surveyor duties.
