About Andrew Etheridge

In December of 2023, I graduated from the Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Certificate in Information Systems. During my time at the University of Cincinnati, I was a member of KBS (Kolodzik Business Scholars) and a Cincinnatus Scholar. I am profoundly grateful for having been selected to represent KBS and the Cincinnatus Scholars; in return for all of the opportunities that they have afforded me, I hope to exemplify their core values in my everyday life. I plan on continuing my education in the fall of 2024 by pursuing both an MBA and taking the exams necessary to earn a CPA. My goal is to obtain both of these certifications simultaneously by the fall of 2025. Thus far, my experience in business includes working as an operations assistant for Etheridge and Associates, a role as a consumer banker co-op at First Financial Bank, and currently as a staff accountant at Flynn & Company. While I did not start out in the field of accounting, I quickly fell in love with the subject thanks to various courses and terrific professors throughout my career at the University of Cincinnati. Highlighting Flynn & Company in particular, these experiences really helped me better understand what kind of career I wanted to have and taught me the skills necessary to be successful anywhere my career takes me. I have also performed volunteer work for several organizations, including Matthew 25 Ministries, my grade school parish, and the Dragonfly Foundation, for which I coordinated fundraisers that helped expand my business knowledge while assisting members of the community. Service is something that is very important to me and has shaped the way I interact with others, as well as providing the blueprint for how I live my life to help others grow and succeed. In the future, I am interested in possibly pursuing law to broaden my potential growth opportunities and because the subject of law is something that I have always found fascinating. Especially with its practical applications in a career in tax, I believe this could be an exciting new pursuit after obtaining an MBA and CPA. Additionally, ever since obtaining the Ohio Seal of Biliteracy in German in high school, the prospect of working overseas or with foreign clients in Germany continues to fascinate me as well. Above all, I am open to relentlessly pursuing new experiences, expanding my knowledge, and facing challenges that give me the opportunity to grow as a person.
