About Andrew Fleming

I work at the intersection of strategy, people, and social impact—with over 18 years of experience shaping partnerships and programs with governments, the private sector, and philanthropy. I've led initiatives across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the US, delivering results in public health, urban development, education and livelihoods, financial inclusion, and more. My work blends systems thinking with practical delivery, bringing together diverse stakeholders to design and scale impactful solutions. Most recently, I was a strategic advisor at USAID’s Health Office in South Africa where I supported a team of 80+ health experts and guided over $300M in annual programming. I led efforts in strategy design, grantmaking, and cross-government collaboration to strengthen health systems, with a focus on HIV and global health security. Earlier in my career, I was a manager at Dalberg Advisors, led the research department at an urban development non-profit, and expanded financing and implementation for SMEs across Southern Africa at a small private equity fund. I'm seeking new opportunities to build, implement, and scale ideas that improve lives—through strategy, innovation, and strong partnerships. Always curious about people, places, and the possibilities that connect them. Graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and Emory University.
