About Andrew Forrest

I am an IT professional with considerable experience not only in director and management roles, but I also have a business background and a keen understanding of the dynamics between IT and the business as a whole, which includes the complexities of change management within an SME organization. As a leader and team builder, I have excellent communication strengths and a drive to develop highly-productive and cooperative teams; to that end, I’m also a proponent of a DevOps culture to strengthen the collaborative framework between developers and other IT professionals. I’m very skilled in facilitating SQL Server Database management and programming, software development, third party systems implementation, support and full SDLC. My strengths further extend to business analysis, leading SharePoint website development teams, and project management. Cyber security forms a large part of my remit and we are using the NIST framework as our guiding principles. I currently reside in the US and have an American Green Card, but my experience has been international, specifically England and South Africa, making me comfortable working with a diverse cultures and societies. I’m enjoying settling into my new environment and welcome opportunities in the IT management arena, specifically in Franchising, Insurance and Legal Services industries.
