About Andrew Gardner

Andrew is a Senior Vice President and Mott MacDonald’s Unit Development Manager for the US West. Andrew is also Mott MacDonald's Client Director for Calfornia High Speed Rail. Andrew brings over 28 years of experience in planning, developing, funding, implementing, and operating major transportation infrastructure projects in North America, Europe and globally. He has a passion for building teams to both WIN and DELIVER major transport infrastructure projects that provide high quality outcomes for both clients and the communities that they serve. He has extensive expertise in the development and planning stages of rail and urban transit projects, and has managed large, multidisciplinary teams through all stages of project delivery from inception through to construction, commissioning, and operation. Andrew’s experience includes directing and managing the overall planning process of obtaining the necessary statutory authorizations, consents, procurement, delivery strategies, and funding in multiple jurisdictions across the globe. Having worked as both an owner and consultant, Andrew's public agency background provides him with a unique insight to not only guide the work of a project team, but to act as a strategic advisor to guide agencies through the complex layers of project authorization and decision-making in a collaborative multi stakeholder environment as well.
