About Andrew Grainger

Over forty years' IT experience have given me a deep, rounded understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, leading to my current role as Product Manager, having recently moved from IT Business Analyst. I have worked as a developer and a BA in in Waterfall, DSDM, and Agile Scrum environments, and fervently believe there is no single approach that is best for all environments and all projects. Work environments have included Public and Private sectors, End user companies and Software development companies and their client sites. I am equally comfortable talking to developers, coalface workers and business leaders. My skills and experiences include: Requirements gathering, using such methods as: • One to one interviews, • Observation and shadowing, • Workshops, • Prototyping, with tools such as Indigo Studio, • Impact Mapping. Requirements documentation, using • Jira and Confluence • Use Case Scenarios • BPMN • Gherkin, for acceptance criteria QA: • User Acceptance & Functional Testing • Management of a QA Team
