Over the course of Summer 2017, I am completing an internship with Cargill Ag Horizons in Alberta, Minnesota. My official title is a Production Supervisor Intern and will be learning all the different aspects of being a manager at a grain elevator. This includes loading and unloading trucks and trains, preventative maintenance, housekeeping, weighing and grading grain samples. This experience has been very valuable to me as I have learned many new things about the agriculture industry. Coming from a farm, I now see what happens to grain after it has been brought in to a facility.
