About Andrew H.

I've dedicated the last 15+ years to helping scale technology startups and have worked with some truly amazing people along the way. I've learned that success and growth only comes when you focus on building relationships with those people - both your colleagues and the customer. My experience has evolved around this idea of a relentless focus on people. I've led and managed cross discipline teams in pursuit of enhancing the customer experience via product, sales, marketing, design, and data coming together. The ultimate goal is usually growth, but the focus must not be on growth itself, but rather the people. My journey into software began with an ecommerce company (Teambuy.ca/Dealfind.com), which I co-founded and helped grow GMV to $50M/year and 3M subscribers across North America. I learned a lot as a young founder, particularly around connecting customer facing teams with product teams. I've since taken this experience and worked with multiple B2B2C software startups in setting up sales, success, marketing and product teams to focus on the customer. With each startup, we've developed purpose and principles to help guide us in setting up teams and processes to enhance the customer feedback loop. This includes ensuring cross team alignment on goals to get everyone rowing in the same direction. Usually a focus on growth of GMV, Retention and NPS/CSAT allow for good cross functional accountability. I'm passionate to continue working with amazing people (colleagues and customers) to develop technology that provides a net benefit to society!
