About Andrew Hall

Andrew Hall holds a Master’s degree with a specialization in Water Resources Management from the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management at the University of California, Santa Barbara. His Master’s thesis group project with The Nature Conservancy (TNC) sought to determine the feasibility of implementing a water sharing investment partnership in the Sacramento Valley to help TNC expand their current Bird Returns program. Post graduating Andrew worked at the Earth Research Institute for professor Frank Davis where he helped decommission a seven year NSF grant studying microclimates and tree species distributions. Andrew now works on the Water for Farms, Fish and People team at the San Mateo Resource Conservation District where he manages a range of projects from planning to implementation. Project types include off-stream storage, irrigation efficiency, floodplain restoration, creek reconnection and large woody debris projects. Andrew hopes to develop and promote sustainable water and land management through local, integrated, and adaptive solutions that can be applied across the West and abroad.
