What does it really take to steer global pharmaceutical strategy through scientific, regulatory, pricing and financial complexity? I’ve spent the past 19 years finding out - across global pharma R&D, licensing, supply chain, risk management, medical affairs, sales, marketing and regulatory functions. A UK-trained scientist with a PhD from Imperial College London, I’ve held senior roles at Novartis, STADA, Eli Lilly, and within consultancy, working at the intersection of science, business, and governance. Currently based in Basel as Internal Audit Director at Novartis, I lead global cross-functional audit and advisory work that informs high-stakes decisions across research, development, M&A, BD, licensing and supply chain. What I Do: Whether it’s leading due diligence for a late-stage licensing deal or auditing governance frameworks in early clinical trials, I focus on one thing: making evidence-based decisions easier for senior leaders. • Designed bespoke audit methodologies for Novartis that now set internal standards globally - including AI. • Evaluated 75+ assurance projects - from preclinical through to post-acquisition integration, sales, marketing, & finance. • Built models that link financial, scientific, and strategic data - turning risk findings into actionable outcomes. • Regularly advise on BD & L, M&A, asset prioritisation, investment decisions, integrations and regulatory implications.
