About Andrew Hill

In my role as a sales engineer, I have developed customer service and commercial skills in order to promote and sell valves, actuators, switchboxes, solenoid valves, PTFE lined flexible hoses and other ancillary equipment to the process and oil & gas industries. In 2013 I joined Tyne Valves Ltd. This company is a well-known valve distributor in the North East area, supplying Worcester-Norbro products to a variety of chemical and pharmaceutical plants in the area. I have been able to show our clients that when they are buying the Worcester-Norbro package, they are purchasing a high-quality package respected throughout the process industry. On top of the Worcester-Norbro package, I have also been involved in the promotion and selling of Aflex PTFE lined flexible hoses. I participated in the initial development of this product at Tyne Valves by handling the quotation and order phases for all of these hoses. I was also tasked with attending site surveys, where I had to assess/measure the flexible hoses on various pharmaceutical plants in the North East area to create hose registers for potential future business. In early 2018 I joined BEL Valves. This was an exciting opportunity for me as they are world renowned designer and manufacture of topside and subsea valves. In this role I participated on oil and gas field projects in the North Sea (Forties Shutdown, Gullfaks, Troll), FSR (Sakhalin, Karachaganak) and the Middle East (Safaniya). These projects allowed me to work with companies such as BP, Conoco Phillips, Equinor, Chevron, Total and Exxon Mobil. In the summer of 2020 I moved back to my previous role at Tyne Valves looking to pick up where I left off in 2018, using the additional knowledge and experience I have gained in order to help our expanding customer base. I am now currently working for Aflex Hose as a International Sales Engineer, hoping to build on my experience working with the Aflex product through my time at Tyne Valves. Aflex Hose have been a designer and manufacturer of PTFE lined flexible hoses for nearly 50 years. They specialise within the Pharmaceutical, Biopharma, Chemical, Cosmetics, Food & Beverage, Petrochemical and Automotive markets. Aflex Hose are the worlds leading manufacture of PTFE flexible hose.
