About Andrew Hisle

I presently work as a Data Center Technician at Flexential. I provide knowledgeable customer support to information technology professionals, and work to troubleshoot and resolve common problems that might occur with their environments located in Flexential's Richmond data center. Additionally, I work with facilities to monitor the data center for any potential issues that may arise with our electrical and HVAC systems, so that we and our customers remain online 24/7. Working in a data center has its own unique challenges, and is an incredibly demanding and fast paced work environment. However, it is also an incredibly rewarding field to be apart of, and I take pride in the work that I do within Flexential's data center. Before working at Flexential, I was employed as a Bench Technician at Technology Integration Group. I worked along side other Bench Technicians to fix laptops for the Chesterfield County and Henrico County public school systems. I quickly diagnosed and repaired computers to make sure all students were able to have a device on hand to complete their studies. I regularly work with Windows and Linux based systems, and I also have a familiarity with the Linux CLI and Cisco IOS. Additionally, I have an understanding of common networking concepts and protocols. I am very competent at using word processing and spread sheet software, and more than capable of completing manual labor tasks.
