About Andrew Howley

As an experienced and creative designer, I have a proven track record of delivering technically complex and sustainable projects. I take pride in my work and have been recognized for my achievements through several architectural awards. Notable projects include the Lidl Ireland Head Office, 40 Molesworth Street office development, Townsends Street hotels, and the UCD Student and Sports Center which features a 50m swimming pool. Through my background in the commercial office sector I have a great understanding of workplace design and the creation of spaces that promote employee satisfaction and engagement. Through listening to and understanding my client’s needs, this knowledge of the workspace allows me to offer added value with excellent outcomes. This is a topic I enjoy and have given numerous talks and lectures to the industry over the years. With great attention to detail, I am energised by the delivery of crafted innovative design solutions. I am as comfortable with the design of bespoke one-off furniture as I am with highly technical facades. A deep understanding and appreciation of how the built world is assembled excites and inspires me. In another life i may have been an inventor. This energy allows me to unlock the potential of projects for my clients. My experience in the Hospitality and Student Residential industry has showcased my abilities as a proficient project and process manager. These projects present many challenges given multiple end users with unique brand standards and deliverables. When stakeholder engagement is required, this is a space in which I feel very comfortable. Great communication, relationships, and attention to detail are key to any successful project delivery. I strive to always provide the best service to our clients. Whether its meeting deadlines or consistent clear communication, i always ensure they trust that I have it covered. I am motivated by their goals, and am passionate about understanding the ‘why’ of every project we work on. I like to positively challenge and inspire them and team around me. As a team leader i am passionate about ensuring that everyone feels ownership in their work, feels value in their contribution and finds enjoyment in what they do. In my spare time i love outdoor adventure sports. If I’m not on a bike cycling up the Wicklow mountains, playing football or tennis, I’m definitely happiest on the water. Wakeboarding, Water Skiing and Kitesurfing are passions closest to my heart. The combination of risk and adrenalin in the safety of the fluid is a great combination.
