About Andrew Jacobs

Prior to entering the manufacturing industry, I obtained a significant amount of customer service experience. While I value the experiences and I enjoyed helping others, this type of work was not what I wanted to make a career of. After taking an engineering class in high school I realized I was very interested in computer aided design. I graduated high school in 2009 then looked into a couple schools that offered CAD degrees. Although at the time I was unable to enroll. After several years of working in telecommunications and customer service I was inspired by a loved one to finally go to school and pursue my career of interest. Fall of 2014 I enrolled in the Engineering CAD Technologies program at Century college. Initially I only took on a couple classes as I still was working full time and did not want to overwhelm myself. After realizing I could handle that quite easily I became a full time student while continuing to work full time. This was definitely a challenge; although I do not regret the decision. It allowed me to better appreciate value of hard work and perseverance while also reducing the amount of time required to graduate.
