About Andrew Khoury
I help migrants from Muslim-majority countries that fled due to difficult circumstances such as conflict and persecution to tell their stories through research interviews. I have carried out interviews with various demographics including Muslims, Christians, Arabs, Armenians, Kurds, Persians, and LGBTQ. This research allows these migrants to tell their stories as members of Canadian society who are often underrepresented and misrepresented in media and political rhetoric, which in turn will help Canadians better understand and appreciate these migrants’ experiences and their importance in Canadian society. This research is part of a project headed by Dr. Lynda Clarke (Concordia University) and Dr. Linda Darwish (St. Francis Xavier University) to publish the findings in a book.
