Thank you for reading my profile! I know there are plenty of people out there in the IT and broadband fields, but I try to set myself apart. I found at a young age that I had an aptitude for taking things apart and putting them together again. This turned into a love for electronics and computers. I soaked up as many tech courses as my high school had to offer and even spent half of my Junior and Senior years at the local community college. I returned there after my graduation to pursue a multimedia and IT education. Computers are my hobby, what I enjoy, but it's not all I'm experienced in. After school I went to work at Sentry Systems, a local alarm monitoring company and spent over eight years keeping customers safe. Then I spent some time at a nearby thrift store, Planet Thrift, assisting customers and learning a whole array of skills in retail. This made it easy to move onto Menards in nearby Maplewood, where I learned even more about retail and customer service and the importance of asking the right questions to get the right idea of what your customer needs. I leveraged all of this to acquire a position as a Tier 1 technician at Arvig's Help Desk, troubleshooting issues with broadband, cable, phones and more. I was then accepted to a Tier 2 role, with additional responsibilities and specialization in our Metro area fiber-optic installs. I don't intend to stop there. If nothing else I try to be adaptable.
