I am a pediatric cardiologist and cardiovascular geneticist with both clinical and research interests in the genetic and molecular mechanisms of sudden cardiac arrest in children. I lead an NIH-funded basic-translational research lab exploring the causes of heritable cardiac diseases, including arrhythmia syndromes (channelopathies), cardiomyopathies, and congenital heart disease. I lead the Cardiovascular Genetics Clinic within the Duke Pediatric and Congenital Heart Center and see children, young adults, and families with heritable cardiac disease.
