About Andrew Larsen

With six years of work experience and a strong foundation in research and analysis, strategic planning, and international experience in the Middle East and Africa, I am a developing professional specializing in research and growth for startups and SMEs in the Middle East and Africa. I have coached, trained, and mentored 26 tech-enabled startups, small businesses, and over 60 government officials across three separate programs. Most recently, coached startups achieved 33% median growth in primary key performance indicators throughout 8-weeks of one-on-one coaching. In my research capacity, I have supported four equity transactions with product and market due diligence and advised on one startup acquisition in the transportation sector, which resulted in the company’s expansion into two new African countries. I have also advised four tech startups with market research on growth markets and market entry strategies. My experience spans sectors including transportation, edtech, logistics, agritech, fintech, electric vehicles, solar energy, retail, and manufacturing. I approach research with creative precision, recognizing the limitations of available data in my operating environments and diversity across countries and companies. As a result, I apply an interdisciplinary skill set that includes political science, macroeconomics, and an understanding of regulatory frameworks within target regions. Additionally, I develop and leverage primary data internally and externally to generate insights for companies and internal decision-makers.
