About Andrew Lim

I am a senior at The George Washington University majoring in Accounting and Finance with a concentration in Business Analytics. My passion for business began through my experience as a competitive swimmer. Training and competing at the sectional level taught me the importance of discipline, attention to detail, and how every small action contributes to a larger goal. These lessons have stayed with me and continue to shape how I approach challenges both in and out of the classroom. At GW, I have found a supportive and driven community that has helped me grow as a student and as a leader. Through Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional business fraternity, I have stepped into leadership roles that pushed me to take initiative and step outside of my comfort zone. Mentoring newer members has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my involvement. I have been able to help others navigate career choices, improve their professional skills, and grow into leaders themselves. Outside of school, I have gained hands-on experience in both corporate and accounting settings. I supported financial operations as an Accounting Intern and later as an Accounts Payable Intern at the Federal Home Loan Banks Office of Finance. I then expanded my analytical and client-facing skills as a Transfer Pricing Intern and TESS Intern at RSM. These roles have helped me develop a strategic mindset while reinforcing my ability to work with both numbers and people. As I continue to grow, I remain committed to mentorship and look forward to using my experiences to support and uplift others in their professional journeys.
