About Andrew Lindon

I’m someone who is passionate about marketing and advertising, making sure to keep an air of professionalism around my work while also not being afraid to enjoy the process along the way. I’ve been able to enjoy working on multiple different campaigns with different companies, even holding an account for a length of time. These types of experiences have shaped me into who I am today, teaching me that helping people achieve their goals is the only way you can ever truly succeed. At Michigan State I have decided to pursue a degree in Marketing in the Broad College of Business. The degree opens up a wide variety of avenues of learning through classes offered. I’ve taken classes that require me to develop, market, and “launch” a new product. I’ve taken classes where I have had to improve a local company’s SEO and create a 3-week Google AdWords campaign for them. Every skill acquired by completing these tasks help me towards reaching my goals in the business and advertising industries. Over the past two years I have completed a social media marketing internship with Barstool Sports, a sports media company based in New York. Through this experience, I’ve gained branding skills and honed my ability to organize different campaigns across several platforms. The project of my focus was to grow and drive engagement to the Instagram and Twitter accounts for the Michigan State brand, at which I increased from semi-active followers to over active followers. Through this, I’ve gained experience planning and executing events in our local community. As an account, we’ve held several events at a local bar in order to increase brand awareness, increase patronage to those bars, and provide the community with a night they won’t forget.
