Background

About Andrew Lyons

Dedicated and adaptable educator with a proven track record in teaching, leadership, and team development. I bring several years of experience teaching middle and high school science—including physics, chemistry, biology, and general science—creating hands-on, engaging learning environments and building strong, lasting relationships with students, families, and colleagues. Beyond the classroom, I’ve served as a Science Team Lead and coached various extracurricular programs, including athletics and esports. Before entering education, I developed valuable management experience in retail and food service, where I strengthened my skills in operations, customer service, and team leadership. Now based in Lynchburg, VA, I remain passionate about education and student growth—but I’m also open to exploring new opportunities where I can apply my strengths in leadership, communication, and problem-solving. Whether in education or a new field, I’m eager to contribute meaningfully and grow professionally in my next role.
