Hello! I’m Andrew, a dedicated professional with a strong background in IT. With 7 years of experience as a System Administrator, I have honed my skills in server and network management and even provided basic IT inductions for all new employees, helping them get started and knowing the basics resulting in reduced user error helpdesk tickets by 50%! My journey has been fuelled by a commitment to making a difference to people and helping in anyway I can.Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working on diverse projects that have sharpened my expertise in managing Windows servers. Whether it’s implementing a new VOIP phone system, I thrive on turning challenges into opportunities and delivering exceptional results.Some of my key accomplishments include:1) Migration of all internal file shares from physical servers to Microsoft SharePoint enabling a great flexibility to access files and improved retention.2) Replacing the third party H&S system with an in house solution for recording accidents and incidents using Microsoft Forms and Power Automate. 3) Implementation of VOIP (Microsoft Teams Phone) across the whole of the organisation making communication easier and ready for the PSTN switch off.Currently, I am an ICT Coordinator at Kids, where I am responsible for managing everything, from the helpdesk, servers, network, client hardware and software. My role involves working with everyone in the organisation and help anyway I can to achieving their goals. I am always eager to embrace new challenges and learn from every experience.Outside of work, I am a bit of a theme park enthusiast and enjoy the thrill and adrenaline that gives.
