About Andrew Marx

I am extremely analytical and detail oriented, with a very strong strategic orientation. I enjoy critically reviewing information and making sense of data to assist in optimizing operations, processes, costs and the bottom line. I have a keen eye for resolving bottlenecks and constraints in almost any problem, and this is where my intuitive critical thinking, attention to detail, strategic sense and problem solving skills really shine. I have excellent Financial Modelling and Data Modelling skills, and these come in handy with regards to forensic auditing, cost review and also project effectiveness. Project Management is another area where understanding all the different inputs, variables and constraints assist in ensuring accurate cost and timeline planning and management. In a more personal sense, I am someone who is committed and takes full ownership not only for my role, but for the business I am working for and will do anything I can to assist those around me to achieve our common goal. I have completed various leadership and coaching courses which have highlighted my strengths in Strategic Focus, Responsibility and Accountability, as well as my internal motivation and need to succeed and help others around me succeed. I am an adventurist, and my positive never quit attitude is a benefit of this. I do Hard Enduro Motorcycling where your physical limits as well as mental strength and agility is tested. I enjoy team sports as well as individual sports, but admit that when I really need to I know I can count on myself and so can others. This is where my years in competitive golf really stands me in good stead. Golf takes you through many ups and downs and it teaches you humility and mental focus and at times realignment. I relish a challenge, and love working within a team that has well directed energy. Lack of leadership and ownership within organisations is something I loath, and given even the smallest window of opportunity I will get my hands dirty to rectify the situation. I thrive on clarity, transparency and inclusiveness, ambiguity has no place in the work place, not for companies that want to remain relevant and get the best out of their employees.
