Background

About Andrew McCleskey

I’m a detail-oriented and people-driven professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Miami and hands-on experience leading teams in fast-paced environments. My career so far — from managing operations at LA Fitness to overseeing teams in the restaurant industry — has sharpened my leadership, organization, and communication skills.Beyond operations, my real passion lies in law, public service, and nonprofit work — fields that allow me to make a tangible difference while engaging my curiosity about how systems, policy, and people intersect. As an editor and reporter for Distraction Magazine, I learned the power of storytelling and research — skills I now aim to apply in roles that combine analysis, advocacy, and impact.I’m currently seeking opportunities in the legal or nonprofit sectors where I can contribute to meaningful work, grow professionally, and bring my drive, adaptability, and empathy to the team.
