About Andrew McGlone

I am part qualified and working towards full qualification as a UK Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney. In my role as a trainee patent attorney, my day to day work involves assisting in all matters related to patent prosecution before the EPO and the UKIPO. I am also actively involved with clients in invention harvesting and patent drafting. I specialise in electronics and communications technology. As a postgraduate research student I researched and developed polycrystalline diamond micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) for passive micro-rheology and piezoresistive sensor applications. I have extensive device fabrication experience including process development, having spent three years training and operating in the James Watt Nano-fabrication Centre at the University of Glasgow. I am well versed in analogue and digital electronics. I also specialise in audio electronic equipment, and work on many boutique custom builds and modifications.
