Background

About Andrew Mulwee

I’m currently a Junior at Clemson University, majoring in engineering and actively seeking internship opportunities in manufacturing technology, process engineering, or continuous improvement roles starting in Summer 2026.Through a year-long co-op at AFL Telecommunications, I’ve completed two rotations (with a third ongoing) focused on streamlining fiber optic cable supply lines. I've worked hands-on withprocess optimization, data analysis, and project management, gaining real-world experience in improving manufacturing efficiency and supporting large-scale operations. My key contributions include: Designing and modeling optimized lab layouts using SolidWorks to improve space utilization and material flow Creating standardized work instructions, MATLAB scripts, and Power BI dashboards to improve operations and decision-making Leading design and implementation of custom 3D-printed tools to enhance product lines Collaborating with cross-functional teams—operators, engineers, and contractors—to implement practical solutions Managing end-to-end development of new manufacturing equipment, including scheduling, coordination, and execution. With a strong foundation in both technical tools and professional communication, I’m excited to bring my experience and passion for continuous improvement into a full-time engineering role.
