As a retired police officer of 17 years and a current Contractor Liaison with IDS and a former Special Investigator retained by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management Investigative Services and Special Investigator retained by the Department of Homeland Security - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement I have experience in all types of police and security functions such as interview and interrogation skills, background investigations, financial crimes, narcotics crimes, surveillance, problem solving, evidence gathering, and handling, chain of custody, report writing, intervention and investigations of all types. I possess excellent communication skills and have strong knowledge of safety and security procedures and overseeing the training of others. I have extensive experience in courtroom testimony and emergency radio communications/dispatching. As a field trainer with the Syracuse Police Dept. and Keypoint I am proficient in training and supervision of subordinates. I am self-managing and capable of handling unexpected situations.I seek out problems and act instantly to solve them. I am skilled in negotiations and able to resolve differences. I possess strong negotiating skills; persuasive, persistent, and resolute. I am able to handle crisis situations in calm, capable manner and have an analytical, investigative mind. I possess federal security clearance to conduct background investigations on persons at the top-secret level. I am proficient with computer skills as well as Microsoft Office programs.
