About Andrew Niemczyk

I am so proud to be a part of Teach for America as a 2021 Corps Member, in the pursuit of educational equity for all children in this country! I am also currently enrolled as a graduate student at Arizona State University’s Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College, focusing on Secondary Education in the field of mathematics- I am a graduate of The George Washington University School of Business Class of 2014, with a Bachelor's of Business Administration degree in International Business. For over six years I worked at DesignerAdvantage, Inc. in Newton Center, MA, most recently as the Director of Operations. Throughout my time at DesignerAdvantage we experienced a great deal success and growth, and I could not be more proud of what we accomplished and what the company will continue to accomplish- The first-hand experience I have from working as part of various small businesses has helped me understand the complexities and fine points of all aspects of business, including, but not limited to, managing finances, client relations, human resources, software development and marketing. I also understand the importance of effective communication with clients, time management and organizational skills, and punctuality. My greatest strengths include my ability to effectively manage individuals and delegate tasks, my communication skills, and my ability to complete tasks with efficiency. I have also been told by former supervisors that I am a born leader. Outside of my professional career, I have years of volunteer experience and my interests include both playing and watching sports, listening to music, traveling, politics, current events and the environment. I am a Big Brother as part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, as well as an active advocate for the US Epilepsy Foundation.
