About Andrew Owen

As an elevator technician with over 30 years of global experience, I have worked on some of the most complex and challenging projects in the industry, such as the Crossrail PanTfl, where I was responsible for over 200 elevators across 40 stations. I have also gained extensive knowledge of various manufacturers, including Otis, Thyssen, Schindler, Kone, and more, and have acquired multiple certifications, such as the NVQ3/4 Lift Technician, the NALM Part 1 and 2, and the Management of a Lift/Escalator Contract Part 1 and 2. HNC Lift Engineering. My passion for this industry stems from my family legacy, as I grew up learning from my father, who was also an elevator technician. I have developed a robust technical foundation, excellent people skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. I have skillfully managed teams of technicians, electricians, and engineers, and have delivered outstanding results in terms of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. I am currently the company director at Direct Lift Services Limited, where I aim to leverage my network of reliable skilled contacts, and offer valuable connections within the rapidly evolving elevator industry. I am always open to new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow in this field.
