About Andrew Parry

I graduated from the University of Cambridge in and passed the RCVS Certificate in Diagnostic Imaging in 2005. After 8 years in general practice, I undertook the residency in diagnostic imaging at the Royal Veterinary College in 2007. I passed the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging examinations in 2010, becoming a European Specialist in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging the same year. I gained RCVS specialist status in 2012. I spent 4 years as a clinical radiologist at Willows Veterinary Centre and Referral Service working with several small animal specialists in a wide range of disciplines. After returning to the Royal Veterinary College for a brief period, I returned to Willows Referral Service as a senior clinical radiologist in July 2015 and progressed to running the Imaging Service. I became the Head of Diagnostic Imaging Services for the Linnaeus in 2020. In 2023, I left Linnaeus and started as a consultant Radiologist at Antech Imaging Services. I am particularly interested in vascular imaging and portovascular anomalies and have shared several publications in this field. In 2020, I became a Fellow of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Within the profession, I have led the ECVDI and was responsible for setting standards in specialist veterinary diagnostic imaging. I have held several committee positions over time, including examiner for the ECVDI and a member of the ECVDI executive committee. I have been President of the ECVDI (2018 - 2020) and chairman of EAVDI BID (2012 - 2014). I am particularly proud of my achievements as ECVDI president, striving to ensure that specialist radiology training is more accessible and trying to ensure easier access to a specialist radiologist's opinion.
