About Andrew Pinto

I am set to graduate from Fordham University with a B.S. in Business Administration (Finance concentration) and a minor in Psychology. I currently work as an inpatient medical scribe at Mount Sinai Hospital and volunteer in the Adult Emergency Department at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and the Neurology Unit at Hackensack University Medical Center. I’m transitioning from a business background to a career in medicine, driven by a passion for psychology, neuroscience, and improving mental health care. This fall, I will begin post-baccalaureate pre-medical studies at Rutgers University–New Brunswick to complete the prerequisites for medical school. I also assist with literature review in an autism research lab at Rutgers, supporting projects focused on behavioral interventions for adults with ASD. My long-term goal is to become a psychiatrist who blends clinical expertise, research, and psychological insight to expand access to compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. I’m eager to connect with professionals across psychiatry, psychology, and neuroscience to collaborate, learn, and contribute meaningfully to the field.
