About Andrew R Beebe

In my current role as Office Support Assistant for the University Honors Program and Northern Illinois University, I regularly communicate with a body of over students with diverse needs and interests regarding complicated, high-importance information. This involves: • designing instructional and reference documents, and consulting on publishing strategies •communicating with professionals in a variety of other departments •designing and maintaining databases, reports, and spreadsheets There are many institutional "languages" spoken in higher education, and I help the Honors Program by translating information fluently between different sets of needs and expectations. I successfully designed and implemented a data collection scheme with resulted in my team acquiring new assets, and I've expanded my department's marketability by bolstering our student-facing benefits through community outreach. I work primarily in Publisher, Adobe Pro, Excel, Access, and the various components of O365. Previously, I worked as an Assistant Manager and Social Media Marketer for a regional cluster of Shell locations. The role involved frequent content creation; on a budget of $0, I used free graphic design software to create physical signage and digital marketing materials. I also created in-depth but readable training materials for specialized, multi-purpose equipment.
