About Andrew Roe

I'm a former Full-Stack Developer turned Machine Learning Engineer, specializing in custom LLM and AI applications, big data infrastructure, and data science-driven research and development. I have a strong foundation in full-stack engineering, AWS automation, and infrastructure as code, with extensive experience building, deploying, and scaling production-grade systems. I'm proficient in Python, Go, TypeScript, AWS, and Jupyter Notebooks.I have a wealth of experience with all things AWS and have a specialty in Big Data Engineering using tools like AWS Athena, Iceberg, and Lambda. I build scalable systems using tools such as ECS (Fargate), GraphQL, DynamoDB, SQL, and more.Today, my primary focus is on designing and implementing AI-powered solutions — from developing custom large language model (LLM) architectures to building scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that support machine learning at scale. I’m passionate about advancing machine learning capabilities, bridging the gap between research and production, and solving complex data-driven problems with practical, high-impact applications.
