About Andrew Scanlon

I am the Director of Development with ObjectVideo, a software development company that provides intelligent video solutions to commercial and government customers. In this customer-facing role, my responsibilities include project planning and management, system architecture development, as well as a good bit of hands-on coding. Additionally, I work with other company leaders with resource planning for our matrix-style organization, the interviewing and hiring process, and proposal writing to bid for new work.I have 15+ years experience of full-stack development. I have designed and implemented SQL and NoSQL database solutions and architected and built several multi-threaded, high-throughput video and image processing systems. My development passions, however, lie primarily in web development. I enjoy building websites and apps using the latest and greatest open-source technologies (SASS, RequireJS, KnockoutJS, Grunt, etc).I have an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland and a BS from Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!).
