About Andrew Shaw

I'm a Partner Success Manager at Mentor Collective. Our goal is to help close America's equity gap by fostering mentorship at a large scale. We primarily work with institutions in Higher Education, and a growing number of companies such as Amazon and the Greater Houston Partnership. My role is to serve as a point-person to a multitude of partners, ensuring their mentorship programs are healthy and providing positive results. My current partners range from large-public institutions, large and small privates, and of course the mighty community colleges. In addition to my current role at Mentor Collective, I serve as an Independent Leadership and Development consultant. My services include resume and LinkedIn consultations to college students all over the world. Whether you are beginning your college journey as a freshman, coming back to an undergraduate experience as a non-traditional student, or pursuing a graduate degree, I can help review your professional profile so you can be in a better position to succeed. I also present and provide trainings to small and large groups in a variety of leadership and development topics. In my most previous experience, I served as a Program Manager of Participant Experience at the Amazon Technical Academy (ATA). With cohorts of 150+ software engineers in training, my job was to provide top-notch customer service and advice that would increase their changes of landing a SDE position in Amazon. I was also responsible for additional projects such as updating our onboarding procedures and participant handbook. In addition to my time at Amazon, I have over 7 years of professional working experience in higher education. My experience is a blend of public and private institutions, as well as student affairs and academic affairs responsibilities. Skilled in Learning and Development, Leadership, Management, Career and Academic Advising, Recruitment, Student Affairs, and Research. Strong professional with a Master’s Degree focused in Educational Leadership in Higher Education Administration from Southern Methodist University. Also a proud graduate of Sacramento State University.
