About Andrew Shaw

I love technology and science, they are what makes the world go round, or at least they can understand it. I love to know the why's of the world and you can't know those without having those two things. I love to study and learn how new technologies offer new capabilities to perform either new tasks or in a more efficient way. I like to write about what I've learned and share that in papers or give presentations to talk about it. I think that sharing information is very important in progress and that the more we are able to share information to all around us the faster the work can move forward. Now I don't only like to read, write, and talk about new ideas but I love getting my hands on things and actually doing some wrenching. I love the feeling of designing something and being able to build it and test it. I am absolutely fascinated with testing and seeing physical phenomenon then taking it apart and trying to understand the why of the test. I'm a hard-honest worker and like to feel some pressure from needing to perform, I believe that when there is some pressure then I need to do my best and it keeps me working at a very high efficiency. I know that if given the opportunity I will succeed; I feel that way because I was taught to not quit and the projects that I have done I have also been able to find a solution, or hit the deadline.
