About Andrew Shaw

I am a CMC/clinical supply expert in the development and delivery of complex biologics including proteins, RNA lipid nanoparticles, and AAV gene therapy. My experience ranges from early development in the laboratory, to manufacturing, to dosing support at clinical sites. In my most recent role, I led a small team responsible for all aspects of product handling and preparation of all therapies across the company portfolio. This included designing and executing in-use studies, authoring pharmacy manuals, responding to inquiries from clinical sites and regulatory agencies, and conducting trainings and educational sessions with medical professionals. The highlight of my career has been working on the launch of the first gene therapy for a genetic disease approved by the FDA and ensuring treatment centers were ready to prepare this one-time therapy. I am currently looking for a Principal Scientist or Associate Director-level role in which I can bring more novel therapies to patients.
