About Andrew Shore

i have 33 years of experience in a variety of different roles within the Gas Industry. In my most recent role as an Engineering Assurance Manager I set up a small team to deliver Gas Mains Replacement Works, defect rectification works and replacement of Intermediate to medium pressure regulation equipment, operating as a principal contractor for all the works. My Role encompassed writing and developing gateway documents setting out roles and responsibilities under CDM2015, putting in place safe systems of work to enable to the team and chosen contractor to operate as a principal contractor, Production of contract tender documents, liaising with Land Agents and Customers. Safety and Compliance were paramount to this work, out ten independent audits nine achieved 100% audit scores and one 99% audit. Strong financial forecasting and cost management were key elements to the role. Whilst in the role i customer satisfaction was rated as high. Another element to this role involved Safe Control of Operations, i operated as a Reviewing Manager which involved reviewing and signing candidates SCO submissions to work on the West Midlands Network. i am both a Competent Person and Authorising Engineer for SCO2 (deep excavation works and forms of authority) SCO5 Live Gas Operations up to 12" Low Pressure and SCO4 works encompassing both Low Pressure and Medium Pressure, i also hold Authorising Engineer Status for Hot Works.
