About Andrew Slaney

I am passionate about the design of the places where we live, work and play, with a track record of producing creative and innovative design solutions for a variety of complex and challenging projects. A skilled and experienced practitioner, with a broad portfolio of work ranging from the regeneration of existing urban environments, creating new high quality places, and enhancing valued historic assets; I am a strong advocate for the raising of design standards across the development sector. For example, I have been a CABE Building CABE accredited assessor and continue to advocate the use of tools to promote design quality such as Building for Life 12. I also have the proven ability to communicate complex design concepts and ideas clearly and effectively, with exemplary oral and written presentation skills. I have extensive experience in utilising industry standard graphic and presentation tools including AutoCAD, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and SketchUp. I also possess the skills to produce material for different audiences as appropriate, from experienced industry professionals to members of the general public. A keen learner, I have a continuous appetite for updating my skills and knowledge base, whilst positively engaging with the latest thinking in the urban design and wider built environment field.
