I have worked with a large number of technologies including MBR, ASP, BAFF, SAF, MBBR, and some of the innovative technologies like IFAS, Salsnes Filters, Mecana Tertiary Filters, HSAF and high efficiency aeration. My Vision in the Wastewater Treatment Team in WSP is to meet customer expectations and to deliver good quality on time, every time to bring value and sustainable outcomes. In NZ, as my Role as Wastewater Principal Engineer I undertake consultancy, feasibility studies, concept design, detailed design, design and construct projects and peer review. Recent projects include design of balance tank and inlet works and aeration upgrade, long term growth strategy and developing options for effluent reuse for Mangawhai CWWTP, Technical Advisor to FNDC for Paihia WWTP with the innovative Bioshell in pond treatment, Gore Industrial WWTP treating dairy wastewater, Havelock and Seddon STP feasibility study, long term options review for Blenheim STP, Resource Consent application support for Tararua DC, assessment of DOC's WWTP at Whakapapa and Resource Consent application reviews for BOPRC and Waikato RC and many more from an OSET unit to Mangere Sludge Plant. I am passionate about how we as engineers can lower the carbon footprint of what we create, and so I am an active member of the Water New Zealand Special Interest Group for Climate Change. Join me for upcoming Webinars, or watch previous Webinars on through the Water NZ website. I am an enthusiastic gardener, and to broaden my skills I am enrolled in an Open Polytechnic Certificate in Horticulture course.
