About Andrew Staggs

First and foremost, I am passionate about Accounting. I look to continuously improve Accounting practices, personally and for my company. I focus on key results and quickly adapt to new insights. Now cast into the role as the Controller, I find it important to grow myself as well my direct reports. There is great value in a collaborative working environment, and it is one I aim to foster! I am leader in my field. Nowadays, an employee is as valuable as the knowledge about the programs they employ everyday. I pride myself on leading an international implementation of the expense reporting program SAP Concur at a previous employer at the beginning of my professional career. I was the primary driver in said implementation, including building the desired look for the company, tying in the program with the ERP system we used (QAD), generating the work instructions and refining the processes, and rolling out and teaching the whole company how to use the completely new program. Overall, the implementation was a great success and a great challenge for my professional character early on. Specifically about me, I am a Wayne State graduate with a degree in Accounting, a B.S. in Business Administration (May 2018) & an MBA degree with an Accounting Concentration from Louisiana State University (May 2021). I have experience in many facets of GL accounting & AP/AR, including the preparation of Financial Statements & leading our annual financial audit.
