About Andrew Suhrbier
Hey! I'm a Senior Biologist at the Pacific Shellfish Institute in Washington State. I enjoy working on all aspects of shellfish and echinoderms and collaborating with folks in the field and lab. Shellfish (including echinoderms here!) growers, biologists, scientists and regulators are some of my favorite people. Currently I'm working on sea cucumber feeding and growout trials, championing some kelp and seaweed projects, studying shellfish interactions with the environment, looking to assist in smoother shellfish production and completing underwater and tidal surveys for vegetation and shellfish. Water quality monitoring and the upkeep of field stations in Willapa and Lummi keep me out year round.
